Navy Band hosts high school students for educational program Image 3 of 5- Musician 1st Class Amelia Merriman, from Newnan, Ga., plays an oboe solo with the U.S Navy Concert Band for students from Colgan High School in the historic Sail Loft on board the Washington Navy Yard. Students were invited for a concert and post-concert career discussion with members of the band. Each year Navy Music connects with thousands of students, showcasing the professionalism of all U.S. Navy Sailors serving around the globe.
