University of San Diego graduate will travel to International Space Station- Jonny Kim, who earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of San Diego, will spend eight months on the International Space Station doing research, becoming the latest NASA astronaut with San Diego ties to do so. The space agency said Kim, 40, will fly to the orbiting outpost in March along with Russian cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky. This will be the first space mission for Kim, who will serve as a flight engineer.
